Narendrapur ( নরেন্দ্রপুর) RKM is often said to be the our Golden Years - right boys? We have left so many happy memories of school days and making our way in the world.
We are proud men for we have something to boast of. Not many people have tasted life as we have in an early age. True, there were kneel downs and 'same side' moharajs but what we got in return could be the foundation of our lives.
Have you asked yourself, how can can you give back to you school for all the sweet memories if not the education and lifestyle?
I have a small little idea, before I tell...let me ask you one question as a fellow, ok?
Did you ever fail in any monthly test or struggle to make that 16 ? (Lord knows I failed regularly in Geography till class 8 and Poritosh Da's history was league by itself.)The answer is for yourself.
We want to created a reverse scholarship with some of our friends - the idea is to provide help to the students who REALLY need help academically. Each challenged student is to be tutored by one school teacher(keeps rotating) till he overcomes the barrier.
Nothing Big, we all from a group and send 100 US Dollars or Euro (one time) to the Headmaster of the school directly. Once 30 of us send, the money would be pooled and cashed in Indian Rupees. Then that amount is fixed in a bank and the interest provides the scholarship money each year.
Does this sound interesting to you? If so, please help and become member of our group.
I personally don't want to touch other people's money and so does our members. So we find two more classmates/friends to enlist til we are 30 or more and then send the money individually to Ashok Da (headmaster).
Please email me directly for any questions at chirantan.ghosh[at]gmail[dot]com.
